BOLT-UP JOINTS ASSEMBLY

The course “Bolt-up Flange Joints Assembly) focuses on teaching the correct and safe tightening of flange connections. We offer a full range of accredited, individual and open courses covering all aspects of tightening and assembling flange connections.

Course content

Module I. FLANGE JOINT. FLANGE MANUAL TIGHTENING.

  1. Introduction to Craft – General Theory of Bolt Connections
  2. Hand-Held and Power Tools General Safety
  3. Manual Torque Tightening Procedure – Safety Precautions

Module II. HYDRAULIC FLANGE TIGHTENING

  1. Hydraulic Wrenches and Pumps
  2. Flange Disassembly and Assembly
  3. Bolted Connection Torque

Module III. SUPPORTING TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT.

  1. Flange Disassembly Using Flange Spreaders – Group Lock Box (LOTO)
  2. Power Nut-Driver – Mechanical and Hydraulic Spreaders
  3. Flange Alignment Tools – Hand Tool Types

Module IV. BOLTED CONNECTION WITH HYDRAULIC TENSION

  1. Basic theoretical knowledge of Tensioning equipment
  2. Preparing the workplace and materials for bolted connections
  3. Performing the inspection according to the specification

  • You will have the knowledge necessary to ensure that the assigned tasks are carried out in accordance with the relevant specifications, methods, processes, techniques and procedures
  • You will know the methods of disassembly and installation, component inspection, alignment methods and clamping connectors, as well as assembly and tightening methods in specialized critical bolted connections.
