The objective of this professional training program is to increase theoretical knowledge and professional skills in the sphere of non-destructive testing carried out in order to check the integrity of vessels, pipelines and other equipment operating under pressure. Studying the method of using water to pressurise a closed system to a test level, the requirements for the duration of testing, as well as the differences when using glycol to replace water in winter.
This course is suitable for operators of hydraulic testing equipment for the following:
Works related to hydraulic testing operations to conduct pre-commissioning tests at customer sites to confirm the safety of pipelines and other pressure equipment.
The duration of the course is 3 eight hour days consisting of 8 hours theory and 16 hours practical.
Assessment is carried out in the form of theoretical and practical testing.
The 60-minute theoretical test consists of 25 multiple choice questions based on the content of the course.
The practical test is in the form of simulated real life scenarios where the candidate will be expected to demonstrate their competency in safely carrying out the assignments
Certificates will be awarded to candidates who achieve a minimum of 60% in theory AND 70% in practical.
